Outreach works best when people can do something, not just listen. Much of my outreach is hands-on: interactive stellar modelling, telescope tours, and activities that connect physics and computing to real astronomical questions.
Stars for Schools
Stars for Schools is a schools outreach project built around practical work with software and short investigations that fit within school constraints.
Open days and public events
I contribute to open-day activities, demonstrations and tours that show how we model stars and interpret data. The emphasis is on short, repeatable activities that work in busy settings and can be adapted for different audiences.
Window to the Stars
Window to the Stars is an interactive interface for stellar evolution modelling. It has been used in teaching and public demonstrations, and it underpins some Stars for Schools activities.
